Some missionaries go “across the ocean” to reach people with the Gospel.
You can be an ICM missionary and reach Canadians
“across the street”.

We need your help

  •  We are searching for individuals burdened with the desire to reach Canadians of all ages and backgrounds with the Gospel.

  • We are also looking for passionate teachers who want to equip and train believers to be more effective witnesses.

  • ICM missionaries serve in the areas of local missions and outreach, speaking at retreats and workshops, developing curriculum, and desktop publishing.

  • ICM staff carry out their ministry in areas they are gifted and called to with considerable freedom while still supporting the corporate initiatives of ICM.

Summer and one-year internships, along with part-time and
full-time positions are available.

We are…

Reaching local communities of other faiths and
ethnicities with the Gospel.

“... to make the word of God fully known,  the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Col 1:25b-27 CSB

ICM staff reach Canadians…

…through outreach initiatives, VBS & Camps, youth drop-in, life-on-life evangelism, and discipleship.

…by prayerfully seeking opportunities to speak about spiritual things and present the truth of the Gospel to those who do not understand it.

…by being available as a reliable and trustworthy person for others in times of hardship, crisis, and the mundane, sharing Truth as able.

Teaching a variety of ages and people groups.

“... we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.”
Col. 1:28 NLT

ICM team members teach…

… others in their community, churches, Christian Schools, and Bible Colleges using ICM resources.

… witness mobilization classes using a chronological approach to understanding the Scriptures.

… through specific initiatives such as Seniors, Youth, Prison, Campus, and Ethnic ministries (i.e. Hutterites, Indigenous, Muslims, etc.)

Training believers through workshops and hands-on ministry.

”... teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
2 Tim 2:2b NLT

ICM trains believers…

… through mobilization workshops that renew confidence in the Gospel’s power to transform lives, motivating them to overcome fear to share their faith.

…  by providing opportunities for them to serve alongside our ICM staff to gain practical experience and opportunities to share and teach the Gospel.

… by modelling a lifestyle that glorifies God and displays their faith through how they conduct themselves and interact with those around them.

Steps to Join

Step 1: Spend time in prayer and discussion with close Christian mentors

Spending time in prayer to discern God’s leading is crucial, and speaking with mentors and your Pastor is invaluable as they can pray alongside you and help discern your desire to go into Missions.

Step 2: Connect with an ICM ministry leader

This step establishes a relationship between yourself and ICM. It allows the opportunity to discuss your ministry giftings and prayerfully consider what it would look like for you to join ICM as a missionary and what your role would look like.

Step 3: Go through the application process

This step involves filling out an application form, reviewing our ICM staff handbook, signing our ICM doctrinal and positional statements, and having reference checks done.

Step 4: An Interview

You will be interviewed by the ministry leadership team, and further prayer and discernment will follow.

Step 5: Commissioning and Deputation Plans

A commissioning church is required of all ICM staff and is critical to your ministry's effectiveness and your personal spiritual care. You will introduce ICM to your sending church and in discussion with ICM, determine what your deputation needs and plans are.

Step 6: An Agreement is Created and Signed

In discussion with ministry leadership, a Memo of Understanding (MOU), including roles and responsibilities, will be created and signed.

Step 7: The Process is Complete!

After this, you are now considered an ICM Missionary and a part of the team!
