The Start beside Mark's Memorial Tree
As the participants gather and register on the sunny, but windy day,
we spy the youngest to go the distance, three month old twin sons
of Darlene and Ken Klassen.
Benjamin and Bronlin Klassen of a farm west of Warman.
Barb Jenkins reading a dedication at the Opening of the event
with the tree to the left, the city of Saskatoon planted in Mark's memory.
(Just some of the people present).
Doug Jenkins lit a candle representing Mark with the group.
Balloons were released to represent the prayers of participants
- and then they were off
Starting out, some cylcists were off like a shot, some waited,
Henry H. Friesen, Hague, on his MediChair,
and Wendell and Helen walking... more coming behind them!
Here's Darlene Klassen, Warman, pushing her twin boys, Benjamin and Bronlin,
born in March. A granddaughter of the WTM director, Arnold Stobbe to the right,
and two of Mark's brothers waiting to fall in behind.
