I grew up in a Christian family and setting. It has been a huge blessing to me. I became a Christian at the age of 4 at a children's session. The speaker said that if you didn't become a Christian you wouldn't go to heaven, and naturally I wanted to go to heaven. But as I grew up I learned what it really meant to be a follower of Christ. I am thankful for how the Lord has been working in my heart and is patient with me.
Growing up I was never really able to talk about God that much on a personal level. Going to Millar after Grade 12 really changed that. The best thing that could have happened to me was going to Bible College. It has really changed who I am and has shaped me. I have a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Christian. I got baptized after my first year.
During my summers between college I worked at the Superstore in Saskatoon. That is where I really discovered my spiritual gift and my passion for sharing the Gospel with the people I am with. God has
blessed me with numerous opportunities to tell others about Him and to be a light for Him. It is so important to tell others about what Jesus did on the cross for us.
I learned during that time how to be available for God to use me and to take opportunities even when you don't feel like it. I am now learning a lot about sacrifice, humility, and resting in the Lord. It is not an easy route but God is good and teaches us and draws us closer to Himself. I am so thankful for that. I am so thankful that God has saved me from my sins and that I have assurance of eternal life with Him in glory. I have a desire to serve the Lord and want to be obedient to His calling for me in my life. I want to glorify Him.
