70th Anniversary Music/Dessert Night 
In many ways we are still a small mission on a shoestring budget so we were not ready to put on a big expensive celebration.We used this opportunity to report on God's faithfulness in blessing the work that is done through this mission, and included special prayers of thanksgiving between packages of music by the very talented Derksen family from Rosthern, SK. Rick and Beryl Harbidge, our Ethnic missionaries in Alberta were present to report on their work and share some testimonials. Beryl also  ministered in a lovely solo.A fund-raising offering was held which brought in $5,000 towards the ever needed postage to keep the Mailbox Club lessons going out. After the program, all were invited to enjoy a luscious spread of desserts set out on the buffet tables in the gym. Another framed Scripture Sign was given as a door prize and won by Mr. Leon Meginbir. We were grateful for the turnout and that we have such loyal and giving friends and supporters. You are evidence of God's faithfulness to the Mission! |
