For a birthday gift, something that's mine

I would like something else to do
For a Saviour so wonderful, kind and true,
Since my heart already belongs to Thee.
The answer comes softly, "Follow thou Me."

But I would show Thee how much I love
The Saviour Who left His throne above,
Gently the answer, "I have no need,
But proof of love is My lambs to feed."

As birthday gifts to the King of Kings
Intimate, personal gifts we should bring;
A loving heart, pursuing feet,
Willing hands for His service meet.
