I was seeking for Christ and I found Him,
Found Him on Christmas Day;
He was in a poor Bethlehem stable
Snug in the manger hay.
I was seeking for Christ and I found Him
Teaching by Galilee;
He was speaking of love and forgiveness,
Faith and salvation free.
I was seeking for Christ and I found Him,
Found Him --- seeking me;
He was loving me long ere I knew Him,
Loving and seeking me.
I was seeking for Christ and I found Him
Hanging upon the cross;
Other things, which were once so important
Now I can count but loss.
Are you seeking for Christ, too, this Christmas,
Seeking the whole world through?
Then just go to the cross from the manger,
Find Him there seeking you.
