The Song of Moses
It was a song of deliverance. Egypt was behind. Canaan lay before. Small wonder that Moses
burst into song when he saw the hosts of Pharaoh overthrown in the sea. "Who is like unto Thee,
O Lord, among the mighty ones? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing
wonders?"
Out of bondage, into freedom. Out of darkness, into light. Out of despondency, into hope. Such was
the experience of these children of Abraham. And in the mighty moment of liberation, they raised
their Ebenezer. "The Lord is my Strength and Song, and He is become my Salvation: He is my God,
and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father's God and I will exalt Him." Exodus 15:2.
