A couple with a heart for animals discovered two young wolf cubs, while making a movie about caribou in Alaska. They seemed to be deserted and alone, so
they adopted the cute orphan wolves, and took them home.
They treated them kindly and soon the wolf pups were as friendly as family dogs. The couple thought they had tamed the wolves and felt quite pleased.
However, as the wolves reached maturity they turned on their kind benefactors, who barely escaped with their lives. The wolves ran away to join a wild wolf pack.
Other stories and studies confirm that you cannot tame or educate the wildness out of wild animals. Their natural bent or inclination will return sooner or later.
This is true in the human race too. We are born with a natural tendency to sin. No amount of education, high class refinement or culture can change us. Counseling or psychiatric treatments cannot remove sin. The best resolutions and all kinds of self-help courses cannot overcome it.
God says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? " (Jeremiah 17:9, NKJ). Jesus said, "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.." (Matthew 15:19, NKJ). The old nature within us is against God. It never did obey God's laws and never will (Romans 8:7).
Even the greatest philanthropists, humanitarians and even all preachers and Christian leaders are born in sin (Billy Graham admits it freely). "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption." (1 Corinthians 15:50, NKJ). Is there no way to get rid of the sin then? Are we doomed?
God has made just one solution. It is like transplant surgery, but in the spiritual realm. It happens when we believe and receive that Jesus Christ died for our sins,
and washed it all away. He took our sins away forever! He gives us His holiness and a new mind and heart instead. We begin to think and behave like Jesus.
Paul called it "circumcision of the heart" (Romans 2:29). The Lord Jesus refers to it as being "born again." (John 3:3).
Paul declared, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20, NKJ).
Wolves will always be wolves. But hallelujah, God enables obedient humans to become new creatures! (2 Corinthians 5:17). Are you ready to let Him get the
wildness out?
Jesus has already done it by taking our sins upon Himself and dying for them. In return He gives His holy and sinless life. It becomes ours when we accept it
personally by faith.
Come simply, to God in prayer and admit you are one of those sinners who needs that surgery to remove your sin. Tell Him you now receive by faith that Jesus
has died for you, so you could live a pure and righteous life, a life full of joy which will last for eternity in Heaven. Tell God you want to be adopted into His
family.
Believe it is so, and tell all your friends! It is too wonderful to keep this as a secret!
