I (Amy) used to go to the Lodge (a care home in Watson) weekly to visit the residents.
During the growing season I would bring flowers, which the residents appreciated. I would also read Scripture portions to various ones who were open to hearing God's word.
One afternoon, a lady named Nettie, was listening to me read something about Jesus, I forget exactly what I was reading. As she was listening, she all of a sudden exclaimed, "I'll take Him," at which time she invited the Lord into her life.
I noticed a great change in Nettie, from that day. She had the joy of the Lord, and loved to hear the Scriptures. She has since gone to be with Jesus. I haven't led many to the Lord, but I trust Him that He has made use of my feeble efforts to serve Him and seek to be His witness.
"The Word of God is powerful if people will hear it."
