Millions of people today would not be able to answer the question: why did Jesus come to this world as a little baby? From the ignorant person to the most brilliant professor on the university campus, we see man trying to find God and the abundant life through his own efforts. The Bible explains that this is impossible because there is only one way. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6.
Jesus offered eternal life to all people. Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:9-10)
So if you are trying to find God and the abundant life, here it is, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12).
If we know the Prince of Peace, we can take His hand and walk right into His Father's throne room. We can speak words of praise and worship, and express our most heartfelt needs. "Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:2)
The Bible also tells of the good news of His Second Coming. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." (John 13:2-3)
Heaven is the home of our Prince of Peace, Jesus. He plans to bring us there. What will Heaven be like? "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying: and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." (Rev.21:4) "But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." (Rev. 21:27).
The door is still open to those who repent and come. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."(Rev.3:20).
