A full-color, illustrated booklet of 16 pages, at 5 ½ by 8 ½ inches, this makes for good reading. It has five articles, of which four are true testimonies of hope that people have found in Christ Jesus.
One of the pieces is a tract that has in the last year been effective in several decisions to trust in Christ for salvation. The Truth Shall Set You Free is now out of print, but lives on in this booklet.
Two other popular tracts were selected to go into this booklet, The High Cost of Peer Pressure, and The Wonderful Grace of God in Bonnie's Life. Besides these two other articles were written by mission personel after interviews for thrilling testimonies.
A Hopeless Marriage – Healed tells the story of a Jay and Glenda, a couple with a lot of problems, whose marriage seemed hopelessly disintegrated, experienced a marvelous turn-around in answer to seven years of Glenda's prayers.
The Street Fighter – Champion of Street Kids tells the story of Rick, who grew up on the streets, and had many ups and downs. But he came to an end of himself one weekend when he was determined to use up all his liquor and drugs and then kill himself. But he was doing it from a balcony that over-looked a church parking lot. What he saw there puzzled him tremendously. He had to ask someone a burning question; what were all those happy people doing there?
He got an answer far bigger than he had imagined. His life turned around and now he's reaching out to street kids with a hear brimming with love.
This Hope booklet has a fun page with a word search in the centre-fold, for we know that both children and adults enjoy doing puzzles.
Although larger than our usual tracts, we plan to use the extra copies we have for mailings by our Tract Clubs, and when sufficient funds are in hand, we'll be doing a mailing to all the rest of Saskatchewan. If you should wish to order some, a donation of .25/ea. is reasonable to cover expenses.
