Mailing Blitz Update - In our last issue of Reflections we named an amount of funds we needed to reach 88,000 homes in Saskatoon with a Gospel booklet. As a result of that announcement enough funds came in to cover most of the cities in Saskatchewan; Buena Vista, Estevan, Lloydminster, Meadow Lake, Moose Jaw, North Battleford. Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Swift Current, and Weyburn. Funds continue to come in, so we hope to soon blitz Regina and Yorkton too. The Walkathon raised $6070.00 more!
We decided to print 160,000 booklets and do a mailing that will cover nine other cities in our sunny Saskatchewan. Another $61,200 will cover the rest of the province. We are confident the Lord will send that in too.
This same booklet can be ordered by others who wish to blitz their whole community with the gospel. Working in larger quantities to print and mail at bulk rates makes it possible to reach a home for an average of .25, or four homes for one dollar. Isn't that a bargain? The catch is the project must be saturated with prayer.
Our Blitz committee designed a booklet called, There is Hope, and it is already at the printers. On August 30th we will be training volunteers for follow-up. The mailing blitz will happen September 17.
The day before, September 16, we will have our annual Appreciation Tea to present tokens of appreciation to people who have helped us. At that time we will also dedicate the booklets going out to all these cities. We want a special anointing from our Lord, so that many souls might see there IS HOPE no matter what their own desperate situation is like.
If you have been praying for this project, or a certain area, we thank you. If you are at all able, we invite you to join us for this Appreciation Tea. Everyone may come. It will be held at Faith River Church, 2625 Preston Ave., Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. In any case, please continue to pray earnestly for the power of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. He alone can transform lives.
Day of Prayer
Come on Saturday, November 24th, 9:30 – 3 p.m. to the WTM head office at 401 33rd Street West, Saskatoon. Join us in praying for the mission department by department, rejoicing in answered prayers, and laying new requests before the Lord. If you wish you were a prayer warrior, this is the place to learn in a very practical way.
