The Good News Express magazine was started up again in the Spring of 2006. The purpose was to help unify the Mailbox Club students who were under 18 and hopefully encourage them in their lessons.
The following are 2 responses we received just recently from Mailbox Club students who received the lastest Good News Express magazine.
"I just wanted to thank you for putting together the Good News Express for us…it's always a big highlight when it comes. I only wish it would come more often." A comment from Vera in Ontario.
Joni, one of the winners of our Good News Express 2006 contest, who is from Alberta, wrote, "I can't tell you how I love the magazine that I won. They have such wonderful stories. God will reward you for being so kind.. ."
This year we started off with a contest that encouraged the Mailbox Club students to send in names and addresses of friends (with their parents' consent), who may be interested in receiving a free Mailbox Club lesson. As a result of this contest, Penny received over 160 new names and addresses. Through these new contacts and through the new names sent in as a result of the contest, there are now about 95 new Mailbox Club students enrolled.
The 16 who entered the Good News Express contest and sent in 10 or more names and addresses were sent a gift Bible with their name on it and a special bookmark.
Prayer & Praise Items:
* Please praise God for the increase of Mailbox Club students.
* Please pray that the Mailbox Club students will grow to know who God is and what He can mean in their lives.
* Please pray that God will continue to give wisdom in putting the Good News Express together and that it will bring honour to His Name.
Because of Him,
Editor of the Good News Express
"Aunt Gail" Thiessen
