As a Christian, I no longer believe in coincidence, but rather special happenings that I call my "God Moments." I see through His eyes and hear through His ears, and no circumstance is just average anymore. There is also an element of obedience and being sensitive to His call, listening to what he would have me do.
While I stood in the checkout line at a store, there was a small woman in front of me with the whitest and silkiest looking hair. She was small in stature, wearing a beautiful grey-blue velvet jacket. I tapped her shoulder and told her that I thought she was an absolutely beautiful woman with the most stunning white hair.
Her expression softened and tears welled in her eyes. She told me she had just had a very horrific time lately. She had been through surgery, which did not go well and shared some other very trying times that she had just dealt with. She told me I had "made her day" and felt very lifted by our conversation as a tear rolled down her cheek.
Simple, yes. God knew how to use that tender moment to touch her heart, and mine.
