This newsy publication was the very first form of what has now become the Reflections in your
hand. It told of the activities of our members, and was the means by which the Home Office kept
members informed. It was also a great encourager and tied the WTM family together.
In the early days the News was typed out 5 or 6 copies at a time. Later a mimeograph was used. The
first 4-page printed copies appeared in 1943. Later it grew to ten pages.
Ten issues were mailed each year to all members and extra copies printed to pass on to others so
they might learn of our work. Usually 7,500 copies were printed by Hull Publishing in Winnipeg.
About 1950 Arrow Printing of Saskatoon offered to do it for a good rate. Since 1995 it has been
printed by Globe Printers, Saskatoon, as Reflections.
