God has called my wife and me to open a Discipleship Training Centre in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with Source of Light Ministries International (SLM).
A while back, SLM asked us to start a branch office in Canada. Since we will be
in charge of all of Canada, we were planning to go to Winnipeg, Manitoba because
of its central location and work out from there. Later on a pastor in Edmonton,
Alberta prompted us to consider working from there. Then in December 2003, we
received a copy of

Western Tract Mission's Reflections. I talked with Arnold Stobbe on the telephone.
He asked me why I was going to Edmonton. I told him that I believed that the
Lord was calling me there. He encouraged me to check out Western Tract Mission.
In February 2004 my wife, myself, and one man from SLM flew up to Saskatoon to
talk to the Board of WTM. They offered to have us co-labor with them in their
ministry. We accepted. We will rent office space from them and store all of our
material in the basement of the headquarters building. This is a great blessing.
Praise the LORD!
In early January my family moved up to Saskatoon and now we are in ministry
partnership with Western Tract Mission.
SLM prints the Mailbox Club material that WTM has used for many years. The heart
of our ministry is discipleship. We are going to begin by discipling small groups.
In the future we plan to use the material to win people to Christ and disciple
new and old Christians in churches, jail ministries, and camps.
A great need for discipleship is found in our local churches. People are getting
saved in church, but they are not growing spiritually to be useful to the Lord.
There are so many people in our churches that have been faithfully attending
church all their lives but remain baby Christians. This is a big problem. I
want to help churches use this material to disciple people in their congregations.
We are also developing the material to be used in camps. My own experience at
summer camp reflects the need for discipleship. I always got on fire for the
Lord at camp and soon after I went back to my old ways again. I want to encourage
camps to use the material during the week in Bible class and then send the
children home with a lesson to help them to continue to grow after they leave
camp.
We have a lot of work to do now that we are here, and I am excited to see what
God is doing in our lives.
We are 100% confident that God has called us to Saskatoon to minister first in
this city, then in Saskatchewan, and finally throughout all of Canada. In
Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus has called us to "teach all nations." This is what we
are going to do here in Canada with Gods help.
We will be available to introduce your church or ministry group to our proven
discipleship plan. We will train your own members to run follow up and discipleship
courses and lessons using your own church family.
Why not call the Western Tract Mission office right away with your preferred
dates? Let's plan ahead for the best impact in your community.
Souls need to be saved, and nurtured before they slip into eternity.
