Galatians - Our Freedom Through Truth
Martin Luther, the great reformer, said of Galatians, "This is my epistle, I am wedded to it."
It is a deeply personal letter written from the heart of a grieving father for his spiritual children. As they began to fall prey to false teachers, the Apostle Paul wrote
to counteract the prevalence of false teaching. He wanted his friends to experience and appreciate their liberty in Christ. They were taught how to remain free and to enjoy freedom.
Galatians is the charter of freedom for believers. You can also discover afresh that, until we come to the truth, our search for
freedom never ceases. Genuine freedom is through Truth. (John 8:32,36.)

James
The five chapters of the book are very demanding, and, when studied and applied, will enable you to grow spiritually. Throughout his letter, James encourages
believers to practice what he himself knows to be true. James responds to the personal purity struggle with practical teaching on how to grow and mature spiritually, addressing such issues as the tongue and worldliness. The thrust of his letter is that believers are not to undermine what they believe in their head
and heart by what they practice in their daily living.

I John - Fellowship with God
Enjoy an exploratory tour of this great epistle. First John is an excellent starting place for the student who wants an introduction to the theology of the New
Testament.
This letter is concerned with the fundamentals of Christian theology, belief and life. The author develops the many facets of fellowship as his subject, seeing familiar objects from different perspectives. The desire and aim of the writer is that fellow believers would enjoy the same knowledge of God in
Christ and the fellowship that knowledge implies, which he himself came to know.

Living the Abundant Life
You will be challenged by this study of a farmer-turned-prophet whose name means "God is Saviour." Elisha, following in the footsteps of Elijah, was a prophet to the divided kingdom of Israel, prophesying in the ninth century B.C., yet you will be challenged by the applications his life and writing have to the abundant Christian life spoken of in the New Testament.
The three-fold purpose of the course is:
1. To review the life and ministry of Elisha the prophet with a view to apprehend the vital secret of his success.
2. To seek to apply the principles of Elisha's life and ministry to the lives of believers today.
3. To bring believers--whose experience, expression and enjoyment of the Christian life are often insufficient and inadequate for
today's needs--to a conscious appropriation of the risen life of Christ.

I Peter - Incentives for Godly Living
This beautiful and sensitive letter carries a warm pastoral tone, and is one of the most interesting and practical epistles of the New Testament.
Woven like a thread throughout the letter is the theme of Christ's second coming, a topic which should affect the way we conduct ourselves as pilgrims on
the way through life. 1 Peter presents the sufferings and return of Christ as incentives for godly living during times of trouble.
It is a letter of hope. Written to believers who were under intense persecution, having been made scapegoats for Emperor Nero. In light of their tremendous
suffering, they are challenged to live godly lives committed to Jesus Christ. Circumstances should not affect our commitment to the Lord.

Romans - Touching Life and Doctrine
This one single epistle has perhaps had a greater influence on this world than any other single letter ever written. Martin Luther called Romans
"the chief book of the New Testament."
The contents of this letter deal especially with such great themes as God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, sin, righteousness, faith, grace, law, love, union with
Christ, victorious living, consecration, the Jews and their destiny, the Christian walk and world missions. In this letter is a "whole body of divinity."
Prepared by the founder of Prairie Bible Institute, L. E. Maxwell, for those who hunger for a firsthand grasp of the great truths of the Bible. It engages
the great minds of the ages, and yet can be understood "in part" by any sincere heart.

The Christian Soldier - A Study About Spiritual Warfare
The Christian Soldier is an in depth analysis of Ephesians 6:10-20. The study begins by the assertion that salvation does not bring an end
to all our problems, but is the beginning of a life-long spiritual warfare. The good fight involves being strong in the Lord. That is, to be strong in the power
of His mighty strength, and to claim His strength. This strength is the power that raised Christ from the dead. So, we have no reason to feel defeated
or afraid in this battle against Satan and his demons; for the battle (the victory) is the Lord's, and we are His. We are only to pick up and use our tools
of warfare, "the whole armour of God." Chief among these tools is faith. The devil cannot defeat us, because through Christ we already have the ultimate
victory.

I Thessalonians - Ready and Waiting
One of the briefest letters written by the Apostle Paul, it reveals the Apostle's mind and heart, and consequently addresses the needs of the mind
and heart. Paul introduces us to some great Christian doctrine and deep theology, while also projecting his overflowing missionary heart.
The Apostle generates hope by his reference to the return of Christ and reveals his pastor's heart by referring to the ministry of the local church in his
first-century congregation.
A challenge to personal growth, the letter will boost the morale of those whose life has become monotonous and routine.

I Timothy - Church Leadership
Welcome to the study of a rich letter, often called the "Handbook for Every Pastor." Addresses to pastors and church leaders to explain their
pastoral duties, Paul deals with church problems from an administrative viewpoint rather than theological. It is a beautiful blend of sound practical
advice with theological statements. The principles stated are applicable to local church leaders in every generation and society, as well as to every
believer.
